If you want to reach out about a Listing, you can use the Inquiry form right on the Listing page. Here, you can choose your contact, edit your message, and see the last time an Inquiry was made. Whenever you’re all set, just click the Send Inquiry button.
You can even send your Inquiries right from the search results page. On the Listing card, click the envelope icon to write your message and send your Inquiry.
This is called a Quick Inquiry. If you like, you can save your message here to be your default Quick Inquiry message—the same text will auto-populate every time you use that Quick Inquiry button.
You can also enable One-click Inquiries—after you save your Quick Inquiry message, you’ll be asked if you want to turn this feature on. If you do, anytime you click the Quick Inquiry icon it’ll fire off your default message right away.
Once you send your Inquiry, the envelope icon will turn purple. You’ll always know who you’ve contacted, and if you hover the icon, you can see the last time you reached out.
If you need to make changes, you can always edit your Account settings.
To change your settings or edit your default messages, click on your User Profile in the top right, then select Account settings.
Your Account settings are split into the Profile panel and the Inquiry panel. Click the Inquiry panel to edit both your default General Inquiry message and your Quick Inquiry message.
If you want to turn One-click Inquiry on or off, just click the toggle below the Quick Inquiry form.
If you’re ever confused about which message appears where, just use the handy tooltips to see where your default messages show up in Marketplace. Whenever you’re ready, click Save changes.
You can check your team's Inquiries in one convenient place—head to VTS Market and go to the Marketplace Inquiries tab. You can filter by Asset to narrow down your list, add a Deal for the Inquiry right on the table, or Archive the Inquiry if it's no good.
If you're listed as a Contact on the listing, you'll also get an email for every Inquiry one of your listings receives.
There are two ways you can get an Inquiry—from a logged-in Marketplace user and from a visitor to the site. Logged-in users can see a listing's displayed contacts and use Marketplace to its full potential. A site visitor can still browse and inquire, but they won't be able to see any contacts, and they'll be asked to submit some information every time they write in.
And don't worry—VTS has the latest security measures in place to limit spam and make sure Inquiries are the real deal.
Contacts work a little differently for Inquiries from logged-in users than Inquiries from anonymous visitors. If you need a reminder on Contacts in VTS Market, you can read up on our Contacts guide.
General Inquiries
A logged-in user can see the Contacts displayed on a Listing, and then choose who they want to write to. Whoever they choose will receive an email notification for the Inquiry as soon as they submit it. A copy of the email will then be sent to the inquiry sender.
Someone who visits the website without a login can still write in, but since they can't see Contacts, they won't be able to select a recipient. Instead, the Inquiry will go the first listed Contact on a Listing. A copy of the email will then be sent to the sender, and the entire leasing team so the inquiry can be properly handled if the first listed contact is unavailable.
Quick Inquiries
A logged-in user sending a Quick Inquiry regarding a listing will default to the first contact on the listing (since there will be no form to allow them to choose a contact). A copy of the email will then be sent to the inquiry sender, and to the entire leasing team.
Someone who visits the website without a login will not be able to send a Quick Inquiry.
